It’s always a pleasure for coimbatorians to drive along the Anaikatti road since no sooner you cross idayarpalayam the vistas on both sides are spectacular with mountains and the clouds hugging them.

At Anaikatti after the town and just before the Kerala check post the road takes left towards Sholayur/Varagambadi and it’s a scenic drive with many gradients … after a good 25min drive we arrive at all gates that open to reveal a beautiful entrance to Tusker Hill Resorts..

The Reception area alone is a sprawling space with beautiful views of the mountains and the cottages. Spearheading the Reception Admin are Dhamu, Rekha Naidu and Thathika who welcomed us with a smile and immediately summoned a golfcart to take us to our beautiful Club Room. The name Tusker Hill is fully justified as each item in the room as well as in the entire property has the ‘elephant theme’ that is so thoughtfully designed… brings a smile to your face.
Rekha Naidu and Dhamu ensure we visit their new Add-on property directly opposite. Maybe 40 acres of what I call a Destination Wedding venue so nicely designed and being executed to perfection (it’s likely to open after August 15th and surely worth a visit) we thoroughly enjoyed looking around the place.

At the Tusker Hill Resort one has ample entertainment & indoor games ,a cricket net practice corridor and a mind-blowing swimming pool with a manmade waterfall that adds pep to the swimmer and any photographer. The landscaping looks awesome thanks to a dozen gardeners always cleaning and pruning.

The Restaurant serves very tasty fare and we enjoyed both north Indian food for dinner and a lovely spread of South Indian breakfast
It was time to say goodbye but Rekha Naidu just won’t let us go and requested us to visit in larger numbers and for a longer duration. She was right in pointing out that the property deserves a longer stay as it totally relaxed and rejuvenates you.

We promised we will be back for more fun at the new Annexe. Do try to visit Tusker Hill Resort once … You will automatically come back since the place grows into you.
